Duchess Kate can strike a pose (on the cover of British Vogue, no less)!

To commemorate Vogue's 100th anniversary, the Duchess of Cambirdge posed for a series of dressed down photos for the June issue of British Vogue, Kensington Palace announced Saturday.

The photos, which mark the first magazine spread she has agreed to, feature Duchess Kate, 34, with a wide smile trading in her Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen dresses for a casual white button down and a blue-and-red striped top.

The photos were shot in the Norfolk countryside by British photographer Josh Olins and styled by Vogue Fashion Director Lucinda Chambers. Seven portraits in total will appear in the June issue (three of which have been shared on social media by Kensington Palace).

"Since 1916, Vogue has been a leading champion of British portraiture," the palace said in a statement. "The Duchess was delighted to play a part in celebrating the centenary of an institution that has given a platform to some of the most renowned photographers in this country's history. She is incredibly grateful to the team at Vogue and at the National Portrait Gallery for asking her to take part."

Alexandra Shulman, editor in chief of British Vogue, said in a statement: "It's a huge honour and incredibly exciting for us to have HRH The Duchess of Cambridge featuring on the cover of British Vogue and as part of our centenary issue."

In addition to newsstands, two of the photos will be on display at the National Portrait Gallery, as part of the Vogue 100: A Century of Style exhibition. Duchess Kate has been a Patron of the gallery since 2012, in recognition of her passion for photography (Kensington Palace has released a handful of Kate's photos of her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte).
