After an off-handed remark by Prince William sparked rumors of a second royal baby on the way, the Duchess of Cambridge helped quash them with two days packed with a cricket match, a wine-tasting, and a ride in a jet boat.
On Saturday, Prince William was greeting well-wisher Cynthia Read during a public appearance in Dunedin during the royal couple's trip to New Zealand when she gave him a shawl for baby Prince George and William replied, "You might have to make another one soon."
With rumors of another pregnancy flying, Duchess Kate, 32, spent Sunday sipping some wine while touring a vineyard in Queenstown, New Zealand. The royal couple then followed that up with a 25-minute, exhilarating ride on a jet boat along the Shotover River in Queenstown.
On Monday, Kate wore a red skirt suit by Italian designer Luisa Spagnoli and black high heels on to the field as she competed with her husband in a cricket match. It was the latest informal competition between the couple, as Duchess Kate beat him in a yacht race last week. The duchess batted first in the cricket match, with Prince William bowling a ball just wide of her ear, earning a playful wag of the index finger from his wife. The duke later took his turn at bat as children bowled him four balls.
