She's been a style icon ever since she first assumed the role of a royal with her marriage to Prince William in 2011. Duchess Kate proved she's still got the look as she made her first appearances this week since the announcement that she's pregnant with her second child.

"I'm just happy to be out of the house," the duchess told reporters.

No doubt royal watchers were happy, too.

While the regal bump is barely noticeable at just three months along, Kate made the most of her fashionable opportunity as she dressed in designs from Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham and Temperley London.

From the somewhat staid gray McQueen coat dress, which she teamed with a whimsical Jane Taylor hat to greet the president of Singapore, to the elegant power-blue Packham gown she ended the evening with, Kate's outfits commanded attention all day Tuesday.

But it was her Thursday night look that really made the week. At the Action on Addiction Autumn Gala, Kate wowed in a black, sheer-paneled Temperley dress with a nude slip.

It hasn't been shyness that's kept the duchess from the public eye since her September pregnancy announcement, but rather her struggle with a rare pregnancy complication, hyperemesis gravidarum, which she also suffered during her first pregnancy with now 1-year-old Prince George. But there's been no sign of the severe form of morning sickness this week.

The next heir in line is due in April.
