Delicate jewelry trend: How to get the look

From necklaces and bracelets, to earrings and rings, layers of simple jewelry is the trend to try.

Step aside chunky necklace, so big and so bold.

Jewelry that’s delicate and dainty is here for fall and can create a fashionable look too.

Style expert Lilliana Vazquez dropped by TODAY Wednesday to show us how to get the delicate look for less. The key is layering these fine pieces around our necks and wrists and piling them on the ears as well.

“You still can make a statement with delicate jewelry but you just need to layer it together,” Vazquez told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

She styled two models, all with items that cost less than $50 each.

Earrings

Her first model wore a pair of large thin hoops from April Soderstrom. Higher up on the ear were smaller cuffs to add impact. “How cute is that,” Vazquez said.

Rings

The same model adorned most of her fingers with an assortment of rings from Charming Charlie, where they start at around $5. The rings were a mix of different shapes and styles, worn alone or in pairs.

“It’s the more the merrier, so mix the metals, mix the finishes, mix the stones,” Vazquez said. “They’re super affordable, so you can stack them.”

Layered necklaces

The next model sported two dainty necklaces that were both the same length from Layered and Long, which offers styles in various lengths. Feel free to mix the shape of the pendant. “You can do round with more angular pieces,” Vazquez recommended.

Bracelets

Who doesn’t love an arm party? The model also wore several bracelets and kept stacking a few more, with items from Wanderlust + Co.

“She keeps adding these because you can really not go wrong with these,” Vazquez said.

For another dainty option, try a bracelet from Love Always, made extra special by adding your monogram.
