Brad Pitt is the first dude to ever front a Chanel No. 5 perfume ad campaign. Accordingly, he and the brand both are clearly trying to make a big statement.

In three teaser videos for the upcoming commercial directed by Joe Wright ("Anna Karenina"), we get a look at Pitt in action. Over a photo of the movie idol looking like he’s been placed in a time-out corner, a dramatic voice-over (courtesy of Pitt) asks, “Do you feel lucky?”, “Are you going somewhere?”, and “What’s the mystery?”. According to Chanel’s YouTube channel, Pitt will answer his own questions on Oct. 15, when the full commercial is set to drop.

"To keep a legend fresh, you always have to change its point of view,” Chanel fragrance and beauty president Andrea d'Avack explained to Women's Wear Daily. "It is the first time we've had a man speaking about a women's fragrance. We think very much that the perfume is a seduction between a man, a woman and the perfume."

Past representatives of the 91-year-old scent include Nicole Kidman, Catherine Deneuve, Vanessa Paradis and more legendary entertainers.

Despite the seriousness of the commercial's black-and-white imagery, there’s just something about the videos that that make us laugh. Take a sneak peek at what $7 million looks like:
