The nation’s capitol may be known more for politicians than celebrities, but the two come together every year at one of Washington’s biggest events, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Affectionately referred to as the “Nerd Prom,” the fashion displayed Saturday night was anything but geeky. First lady Michelle Obama wowed the crowd in an off-shoulder Marchesa gown with an embroidered bodice and a full, flowing skirt. Other standouts included actress (and People magazine's Most Beautiful person) Lupita Nyong’o in a festive polka-dot gown by Oscar de la Renta and "Slumdog Millionaire" star Freida Pinto in a sexy Thakoon dress.
