Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went head-to-toe black as they stepped onto the blue carpet for a London event for Jolie's new film "Maleficent" on Thursday.
The stars attended a private reception at Kensington Palace where costumes and props from the Disney film were exhibited in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Jolie plays the legendary villain from the 1959 Disney animated film "Sleeping Beauty," with Elle Fanning as a young Princess Aurora/Sleeping Beauty.
Pitt, 50, wore a black suit and black shirt. His hair was slicked back and he sported half-tinted black glasses. Jolie, 38, stunned in a long black Atelier Versace gown with a plunging neckline, sheer sleeves and revealing back which showed off a number of her tattoos.
Fanning, 16, offered a pale antidote to the stars styled in all black. She wore a strapless lemon Georges Hobeika gown with white and pink flowers in her hair, accenting her look with dramatic reddish-pink eye shadow.
On Friday, Jolie was again promoting the film, this time during a photo call at London's Corinthia Hotel. She wore a white dress with a black bird print, but her white heels stole the show. A closer look at the shoes revealed drips of red blood running down the back. Style to die for.
"Maleficent" opens in theaters on May 30.
