A panther chameleon at the Ueno Zoological Gardens in Tokyo, Japan, October 4th. The Ueno Zoological Gardens is the oldest zoo in Japan. Founded in 1882, it is now home to over 3,000 animals from some 400 different species.

What's up fam?

Three lynx kittens and their mother peer out from their enclosure on the first day the kittens were outside of their den and available for the public to see, at the Erie Zoo in Erie, Pa. Three kittens were born June 3rd to mother Martina, upper right, and father Russell, who will be introduced to the kittens in about a month, according to Scott Mitchell, executive director of the Erie Zoo.

The two residents of the new pygmy hippo facility, Nimba and Onong meet at the fence, which still separates them, at the zoo in Rostock, Germany, October 2nd. The pygmy hippo is an endangered species and is on the red list of endangered species.
