Kanye West is bathed in purple light as he performs "Blood on the Leaves" during the awards.

Macklemore, left, and Ryan Lewis perform "Same Love," featuring Mary Lambert and Jennifer Hudson. The tune earned Macklemore and Lewis the award for best video with a social message.
