The bride is accompanied down the aisle by her grandfather, Jackson C. Summers. Of her wedding, LaDonna said "I know my father is smiling from above as my grandfather has given me to [Darnell] in marriage."

After the ceremony, the newlyweds jumped over a broom, a popular African-American wedding tradition.

The wedding reception featured a stunning four-tier cake and several smaller, intricately designed cakes. Although the desserts are different, they share a unifying visual theme.

Thanks to TODAY viewer votes, the couple exchanged rings from Kwiat. The bride's ring has approximately 0.56 carats of diamonds set throughout, while the groom's ring has a classic polished finish that will develop a warm patina over time.

The newlyweds listen to toasts made in their honor at the reception.
