At age 58, Kay Glynn broke the world record in pole vaulting for women ages 55 to 59 at the National Senior Games on June 20, 2011. The now-61-year-old has her sights set on the 2015 National Senior Games.

The oldest male athlete, Russ Witte, 97 years old competed in three events and broke the National Senior Games record in each race for his age group. Witte swam in the Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke at Cleveland State University.The National Senior Games are being held in Cleveland for the first time in the city's history.
