Beyonce replaced Britney Spears as Pepsi's spokeswoman in 2002. She is "a multi-talented entertainer who has achieved tremendous success and popularity in both music and movies," Dave Burwick, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Pepsi-Cola North America said.

In 2002, Beyonce went from the concert stage to the big screen, co-starring in the film "Austin Powers in Goldmember," playing Foxxy Cleopatra opposite Mike Myers and Michael Caine. She also recorded the song "Work It Out" for the film's soundtrack.
