For Christmas I just wanna look at this cutie!
Mabel, a 2-month-old pygmy hippopotamus calf, appears with her mother, Chomel, at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Neb., Tuesday, Dec. 22th. Pygmy hippos are native to western Africa swamps and rain forests. The International Union for Conservation of Nature lists the species as endangered.

Hoping for some rogaine for Christmas no doubt
This condor was brought to the Santa Fe zoo in Medellin, in the department of Antioquia, Colombia on December 22nd. It belongs to one of three pairs of condors brought from Chile to Colombia for inclusion in the national breeding program supported by the Ministry of Environment through the Andean Condor National Conservation Program, which seeks to prevent the extinction of this emblematic species.
