"Saturday Night Live" has proved to be a breeding ground for comedic talent throughout its 40-season run, and three of the show's memorable alums stopped by TODAY this week to fill us in on what they've been working on recently.

In addition to hosting "The Tonight Show," Jimmy Fallon has now established himself as a children's book author with the release of his book "Your Baby's First Word Will Be Dada."

Meanwhile, David Spade finished production on a sequel to the 2001 cult comedy "Joe Dirt," which is set for release this July.

Spade's former cast mate Molly Shannon dropped by to discuss taking on a more serious role in her upcoming film "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl — and thankfully for "SNL" fans, to reminisce about her unforgettably outrageous character Mary Katherine Gallagher.
