Vodka and a homemade honey syrup strike the perfect balance of sweet and sour in this variation on a traditional Bee's Knees cocktail.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces vodka
- 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce honey syrup (see directions)
- Lemon twist for garnish
Preparation
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, fresh lemon juice and the honey syrup. Shake until well chilled and strain into a coupe glass.
Twist the lemon peel to express the oils and drop into the glass. Enjoy.
*To make the honey syrup, combine equal parts wildflower or other dark honey and water heated until honey and water can be evenly mixed.
