Vanilla ice cream with strawberry compote

Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberry, sliced into 1/4 slices
  • 1 1/5 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup honey

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in a baking pan cover with tin foil and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes for firmer rhubarb or 50 minutes for softer rhubarb compote.

Chill and serve a top ice cream.

Finish with sliced almonds if it's in your budget.
