Chef notes

Siri Daly, the food-loving voice behind SiriouslyDelicious, is a self-taught cook, recipe developer, mom of three, and Carson Daly's wife! Here, she shares her go-to recipes for a homemade romantic meal that any busy family can enjoy.

Do you want to know a secret? Carson wooed me with caviar. I hate the word "woo" but regardless, that's what he did.

On our first date, he did everything right, and it all had to do with food. He knew how much I loved to bake, so he invited me over and requested I spend the day filling his house with freshly made cookies and brownies. Only he didn't own a single piece of baking equipment, so off to the kitchen store we went and he said, get what you need. Brownie points for Carson! (Pun intended.) Before we went back to his place, we stopped at a local fish market for fresh caviar, something I had never had before. And then we spent the rest of the day in the kitchen, baking, eating caviar on little blinis and sipping ice-cold vodka. More brownie points for Carson!

Fast forward to nearly 10 years later, and the kitchen is still our happy place... only it looks a lot different! Now, there's a baby strapped to my chest or bouncing in a seat on the island, there's a 6-year-old boy in Carson's lap, asking him every question under the sun (we're in the "who, what, when, where, WHY" phase), and there's a 2 year-old girl running around in a diaper and snow boots saying, "mama watch" on repeat.
