Ingredients
- 6 gallon a apples, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 8 gallon sweet potatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 6 tablespoon salted butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoon honey
Preparation
Baking Directions:
Peel and slice sweet potatoes and cut into ¼ inch-thick slices.
Cook in boiling water for 10 minutes.
Remove from boiling water and set aside.
Core apples and cut into ¼ inch-thick slices.
In a sauté pan over low to medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter, sprinkle apple slices with granulated sugar, and sauté for 3 minutes on each side; set aside.
In the same pan, add 2 more tablespoons of butter and sauté the sweet potato slices on each side for 2 minutes.
In a small sauce pan, mix together 2 tablespoons butter, the maple syrup, vanilla, honey and cinnamon.
Cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
Place the apple and sweet potato slices in a baking pan and pour the maple syrup mixture on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
