Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon black truffle oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Asparagus provides vitamin E, calcium, potassium, and phosphorus to the improved creation of hormones and a healthy urinary tract.

As it says in the Doctrine of Signatures, if one thing bears a resemblance to another, it is said to benefit that which it resembles.

So it is only natural that the phallic silhouette of asparagus should benefit the prowess of Scorpio or other signs that are in the mood.

Growing up in the Sacramento Valley, asparagus was abundant and one of my favorites.

This is a preparation that has become a family favorite and is always a big hit, as I hope it will be when you serve it to your family and friends.

1.

Wash and trim the asparagus.

Toss with olive oil and salt.

2.

Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.

Place the asparagus in a grill basket or a fish rack.

Cook for a few minutes on each side until the asparagus is marked and tender.

Remove from the grill and place in a baking dish.

Drizzle with truffle oil and lemon juice.

Place on a serving platter and garnish with the lemon zest.
