Ingredients

Simple syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dry ginger
Blitz
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dry ginger
  • 1 cup ginger syrup
  • 2 cup pineapple juice
  • 48 ounce light beer (4 -12 ounce bottles, 6 -8 ounce cans)
  • 24 ounce cream soda

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Make simple syrup by dissolving sugar, water, and ginger together in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.

Stir often until the sugar dissolves.

Allow the mix to reduce by half.

Remove from heat to cool.

Ginger syrup may be made several days in advance.

In a large punch bowl, mix cool syrup, pineapple juice, beer and cream soda.

Pour in a punch bowl over ice.

Serve with thinly sliced lime, crystallized ginger or pineapple rings as a garnish.
