Fresco's praline ice-cream sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup egg whites
  • 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 4 cup pecan halves

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Preheat oven to 300° F.

In a large bowl, whip the egg whites until they begin to foam.

Gradually add the brown sugar and whip until a stiff meringue forms.

Fold in the nuts.

Drop the batter by the tablespoonful onto greased cookie sheets and bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.

To make an ice-cream sandwich, put a scoop of the cinnamon ice cream between two of the cookies and top with chocolate sauce.
