Endive and Frisee Salad with Blood Oranges and Hazelnuts

Ingredients

  • 2 blood oranges peeled and segmented (if blood oranges not avail. mandarin oranges will suffice).
  • 2 tablespoon tbs. finely chopped shallots
  • 1 tablespoon tbs honey
  • 33/100 cup olive
  • 33/100 cup Kosher salt
  • 33/100 cup Pepper
  • 3 head belgian endive, trimmed and cut crosswise into thin slices
  • 2 head frisee lettuce, center leaves only and torn into pieces
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Whisk together balsamic vinegar, shallots, honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl and set aside.

In another bowl, add the cut endive and frisee lettuce.

Pour dressing over the salad and mix.

After mixing, add orange segments and hazelnuts to top of salad and mix again, incorporating all ingredients.

Serve.
