Chef notes

You could spend an hour scratching your head, trying to decipher the weird ingredients on a bottle of store-bought dressing (why are there so many ingredients? what is "calcium disodium edta"?), or you could just make your own dressing in about a minute, using just four ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. Your choice.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

Preparation

In a large bowl, add the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with the salt and pepper. Using a whisk, combine until the mixture is emulsified. Or, put ingredients in a jar and shake it up!

This recipe makes 2 serving. But you can make any amount of servings you want, just use 3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar.
