Cola-marinated steak

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound top sirloin or other steak
  • 1 pound handful chopped onions
  • 1 can coke
  • 2 can spoonfuls brown sugar
  • 1 can spoonful salt
  • 1 can spoonful pepper
  • 1 can spoonful onion powder
  • 1/2 can spoonful paprika

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Place steak and onion in a large bowl.

Pour cola over steak.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

In another bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, onion powder and paprika.

Remove streak from marinade and liberally coat both sides of meat with spice mixture.

Grill or fry for 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until desired doneness (160 degrees F for medium).

Remove and let stand for a few minutes before cutting.
