Ingredients
- 2 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire or soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 cup dry red wine or water
- 1/4 cup wine or rice vinegar
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 pound chicken thighs or breasts
Preparation
Baking Directions:
1.Start a charcoal or wood fire or preheat a gas grill or broiler; the rack should be about four inches from the heat source.
Combine all ingredients except chicken in a small saucepan and cook over medium-low heat (or you can use a microwave), stirring, for about 10 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
Store, refrigerated, for up to a week.
2.Thread the chicken onto skewers without crowding.
Grill or broil until browned all over and cooked through, a total of about 10 minutes.
Start basting with the barbecue sauce during the last 3 or 4 minutes of cooking.
