Ingredients
- 2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 stick cold unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 cup cheddar cheese
Preparation
Baking Directions:
Preheat oven to 450F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
Cut in the butter with a pastry blender or two knives.
Mix in buttermilk just until incorporated.
Don’t overmix!Turn dough out onto a floured surface and pat down to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into 12 biscuits, gathering the dough scraps and re-patting them down again.
Arrange biscuits on baking sheet.
Sprinkle tops with cheddar cheese.
