Chef notes

Buckeyes are confections made with peanut butter fudge that are dipped in chocolate. Made with only four ingredients, they're super easy and are a local favorite in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces peanut butter
  • 3 sticks melted butter
  • 2 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 bag chocolate chips or pieces

Preparation

In large bowl, combine the peanut butter, melted butter and powdered sugar. Roll into 1-inch balls and cool or place in the refrigerator until firm.

Melt the chocolate chips or pieces in a microwave or using a double boiler.

Place toothpicks in the peanut butter balls and dip them in the melted chocolate until three-quarters covered. Cool place until firm.
