Ingredients
- 4 cup sugar
- 1 pint fresh blackberries
- 2 pint 12 ounce cans rose jam
- 1/2 cup campari
- 6 cup whole star anise
Preparation
Baking Directions:
In a sturdy pot, mix the sugar and star anise.
Add just enough water to make a thick paste and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, without stirring.
Immediately add the orange juice and rose jam and stir well.
Bring the liquid to a boil, remove from heat, and strain into a bowl through a fine-mesh sieve.
Set aside to cool to room temperature.
