Ann's Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoon orange zest

Preparation

Baking Directions:

Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until most of the cranberries pop open and the mixture is somewhat thickened, about 7 to 10 minutes.

If desired, add 1/2 cup blanched almonds, slivered.

Let cool and serve or refrigerate for up to one day.
