There's no need to run to the store for a low-calorie margarita mix--just make your own at home with this easy recipe from chef Richard Sandoval's Maya restaurant in New York City. Build the drink in a mixing glass and serve it in a salt-rimmed double rocks glass.
Ingredients
- 1½ ounces Avión Tequila
- 1½ ounces lime juice
- 1½ ounces water
- 1 packet Splenda
- Ice
- Salt
- 1 wedge lime
Preparation
In a mixing glass, add the tequila, lime juice, water and Splenda. Add ice, cover, shake and strain into a salt-rimmed double rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with lime.
