Chef notes

Easily turn a container of average grocery store ricotta into a creamy and elegant whipped lemon ricotta dip to serve with crackers or crostini.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole-milk ricotta
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • Optional toppings: Flaky sea salt, Freshly ground black pepper, olive oil, chili flakes
  • Bread or crackers, for serving

Preparation

Combine ricotta, heavy cream, and lemon zest in the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Whip 5 minutes, or until ricotta is light and fluffy.

Transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with desired toppings (drizzle of oil, sprinkle of salt and/or pepper, etc.)  Serve with bread or crackers on the side.
