Will Smith might have done his own stunts on “Men In Black” back in 1996, but this week “Access Hollywood” caught Smith taking bravery to new heights.

Smith (aka, the man in black) hit the high wire and flashed a peace sign to the crowd before being hoisted high in the air for a daredevil stunt on the set of his new film “Hancock.”

Once in position, Will set sail full throttle through the air, dangling 50 feet over downtown Los Angeles as the cameras rolled.

From the high-wire act, to the high drama of a shootout in the city streets, Smith was in the middle of all the action.

And when it was all said and done, Smith was all smiles as he headed to his car shaking hands with the waiting fans.

“Hancock” follows a hard-living superhero (Smith) who has fallen out of favor with the public and enters into a questionable relationship with the wife (Charlize Theron) of the public relations professional (Jason Bateman) who’s trying to repair his image.

“Hancock” hits theaters July 2, 2008.
