If you gotta turn 40, getting a special "rapped" present from Will Smith is not a bad way to usher in the new decade -- and that's just what happened at Gabrielle Union's birthday party Saturday.

As the video by Julia Beverly (and posted on Ozone Magazine's YouTube channel) shows, the former "Fresh Prince" picked up the microphone and busted out into a freestyle rap, which segued into his hit "Summertime." He then followed that up with a raucous rendition of the theme to "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," the show that brought him to the non-music mainstream back in 1990. Meanwhile, Doug E. Fresh stood by his side, providing the rhythmic backbeat.

According to The Daily Mail, Union was thrilled with the gift and gave Smith a "thank you" hug after he finished. Union and Smith appeared together in 2003's "Bad Boys II," and she co-starred in "Ride or Die," which he executive produced that same year.

Happy birthday, Gabrielle!
