The ballroom took a spooky turn Monday night, as “Dancing With the Stars” got into the spirit of Halloween with ghoulish costumes and frightful routines. And this time, those numbers were meant to be scary.
Not surprisingly, this season’s “Dancing” queen, Ricki Lake, put on the top performance of the night as she played the part of Little Red Riding Hood in a paso doble.
But while Lake’s first place paso alongside Big Bad Wolf Derek Hough was predictably entertaining, Hope Solo surprised ballroom fans with her respectable samba with wolfy partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Still, that highlight wasn’t Solo’s best effort of the night. That came in the group dance. After Team Tango, made up of J.R. Martinez, David Arquette and Nancy Grace, performed, Solo shined with Lake and Rob Kardashian on Team Paso.
