Jon Bon Jovi and his band released their selt-titled debut album in 1984.

Artists become eligible to be inducted in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first record, which means this is the first year that Jon Bon Jovi and his band were eligible for the honor. But, although they made the list of nominees announced two months ago, Bon Jovi were passed over in favor of Neil Diamond, Dr. John and Alice Cooper, among others.

Was the band snubbed? And were other qualified acts like LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys snubbed too? Share your thoughts about those who got in and those who didn't in the comments.
