Rebecca Black's song "Friday" incited a ridiculous amount of anger among those who believe it's the worst singing performance in the history of ... ever. Seems that some people are taking things way too far, however. The Smoking Gun reports that the Anaheim (Calif.) Police Department is investigating two separate criminal threats triggered by Black's "Friday."

One threat was sent by email to a production company and the other "was a telephonic threat relayed to her manager," according to Sgt. Rick Martinez, who also told TSG that he thought one of the communications contained a death threat.

Martinez said the threats are being taken very seriously and police "are actively investigating these cases and if we find out who sent them, we will ask for prosecution."

If you need evidence of Black's popularity, consider this: "Friday" hit 100 million YouTube views in one month, whereas Justin Bieber's "Baby" took two months and eight days to hit the same milestone.
