When a recent report revealed that "Teen Mom's" Catelynn Lowell was pregnant once again, fans of the reality star were shocked. After all, Catelynn and her now-fiancé, Tyler Baltierra, placed their first child up for adoption when they realized they weren't ready for the responsibility, and they insisted they wanted to wait to start a family until they knew they were ready.

And as it turns out, the story of Catelynn's pregnancy was just as much of a shock to the young couple because there was no truth to it.

In Touch magazine, the publication that originally ran the pregnancy story, has since interviewed the pair and learned just where the bad information started.

“I want to set the record straight. I’m not pregnant,” Catelynn told the magazine before sharing a real reveal. “My mom lied.”

Yes, the college student explained that her own mother was behind the gossip.

“I love my mom, but it’s frustrating," Catelynn said.

Tyler felt the same way, telling the magazine, “We feel violated. I’m shocked that she would go to this length. It just crosses the line.”

According to the publication, Catelynn's mom, April, sent In Touch documentation from a doctor to confirm the pregnancy story, put the mag in contact with an alleged best friend of Catelynn's and arranged for someone claiming to be Catelynn to speak about it.

Even after Catelynn made public denials about the pregnancy in Us Magazine and on her own Twitter page, Mom stuck to her story. In Touch reports April warned the magazine not to reach out to Catelynn again because the stress from it could make her “lose the baby.”

The final season of "Teen Mom" is currently airing on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
