Still hangin' out: 'That 70s Show' cast reunites for singalong
Just like the theme song said, "That 70s Show" cast is still "hangin' out, down the street." Former castmates Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama got together this week in Los Angeles and Masterson captured the reunion on film.
The photo shows the six gathered around a piano, and Masterson's caption reads, "Every once in awhile friends gather for a 6 part harmony of a BigStar song..."
The show's theme song, "In the Street," was written by Alex Chilton and Chris Bell of 1970s band Big Star, although the versions used on the show were by Todd Griffin and later Cheap Trick. The cast is seen singing it in the famed Vista Cruiser owned by Grace's character, Eric Forman, in the opening credits.
"70s Show" fans were quick to drool over the sight of the Point Place crew's reunion. Masterson posted the photo on Wednesday and by Thursday morning, 14,000 had liked it.
"AAwww...Love ya'll! Where are the 'parents'? LOL," wrote Instagram user pitapoggi.
Wrote Cobylynn: "Lovely!! You all gave me many wonderful laughs, Thank you!"
Although the show ended in 2006, the cast members have stayed busy in acting, with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher making the most headlines. A couple on the show, they are currently dating, Kutcher confirmed to Elle magazine in March. Kutcher, who stars on hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men," recently starred in "Jobs" as Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. Kunis played wicked witch Theodora in "Oz the Great and Powerful" earlier this year, and will star in next summer's "Jupiter Ascending."
Prepon, who recently starred in the Netflix series "Orange is the New Black," tweeted a version of the photo with the caption, "We need Santa hats and caroling books. ...And for it not to be almost Xmas already! #luvmygang#70s-hang."
