After she was announced as the winner, runner-up Giacomo Voli gave her a big hug, and the audience waved their Sister Cristina T-shirts.

“My presence here is not up to me, it’s thanks to the man upstairs," the 25-year-old nun, who was on rapper J-Ax's team, said on the show. "I'm not here to start a career, but because I want to impart a message."

Scuccia's victory earned her a recording contract with Universal, but she said she's going to go back to singing with children in her chapel.

During her run on the show, the Ursuline Sister of the Holy Family from Milan also sang hits by Cyndi Lauper, Mariah Carey and Bon Jovi, and performed alongside Kylie Minogue. She was always dressed in her habit.

"I would love to (have Scuccia on 'The Voice') to give us a blessing if nothing else, 'cause we're shooting so much of that show!" said TODAY's Carson Daly, who also hosts the American version of the singing competition.

"The Voice" returns to NBC this fall with new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams.
