After clinching the American League Championship Wednesday night, the Kansas City Royals are headed to the World Series for the first time since 1985. But only after they stop by Paul Rudd's mom's house.

The actor raised the bar for true-blue fandom after the game and invited KC fans over to his mom's house to celebrate.

A local KMBC news reporter asked Rudd, who was born in New Jersey but moved to Kansas at age 10, where he'd be celebrating that evening.

Rudd immediately slid into frat guy improv mode and grinned, "I'm going to be partying at my mom's house!"

So, is everyone invited? You bet!

"She's out of town, I got a keg, pretty sweet!" he said.

But there's one hitch: "Five dollar cover!"

Other celebs with love for the Royals include actors Jason Sudeikis and Eric Stonestreet. Sudeikis, the one-time "Saturday Night Live" star, showed up in a selfie Wednesday night with a fan who brought a broom to signify a series sweep of the Baltimore Orioles.

"Modern Family" star Stonestreet congratulated his team via Twitter.

Earlier, on Instagram, Stonestreet bragged that he could do two things at once. His photo showed his co-stars Sofia Vergara and Ed O'Neill, which seemed to say that he was at work. He also held up another phone showing that he was watching the baseball game.
