It turns out that Rob Kardashian got all upset over nothing, because he and Rita Ora were never an item. Yes, they had a fling for a while, but 22-year-old Ora claims that she never, ever dated Kardashian.

"When you are involved with someone for a while and they decide to express their feelings to the public, well, that’s not my personal way of therapy but I guess everyone takes split-ups differently," Ora tells Australia's Daily Telegraph.

But that dig at Rob's very public life wasn't the worst dig. "I never thought it was actually a relationship, in all honesty," Ora says. "I never mentally defined it as 'boyfriend, girlfriend'. When I split up with him, I said, 'It's because I'm never there, I don't know how to do it.' That's all I said, then ... the rest happened. He obviously felt that creating myths was the way forward."

Clearly, 25-year-old Kardashian viewed things a bit differently. He went on a Twitter rant back in December after the split, claiming that a woman many assumed was Ora had cheated on him "nearly 20" times—though that was likely because she didn't consider them to be an item.

"How can a woman who is so busy trying to start her own career have time to be with so many dudes while in a relationship?!" he tweeted. "She cheated on me with nearly 20 dudes while we were together, I wonder how many she will sleep with now that we apart? But I mean 20?!!!"

A few hours after the initial rant, he added, "When a woman cheats on you with one man, I can live with that. People make mistakes, trust me. I have forgiven numerous times. But when a woman disrespects herself by messing with more than 20 men all while being in a relationship with a faithful man . . . "

Kardashian later clarified his statements, saying, "Sad that the media created negativity for a young artist new to the game that is working so hard to make it. Never mentioned any names. I speak truth. I'm a very Real dude and everything I say I mean…But never called anyone specific a whore and said any names. You all did."

It turns out that his not-relationship with Ora had a negative affect on Kardashian's psyche. In the Feb. 17 episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kardashian revealed that he gained 40 pounds because of his "negative" 2012.

"It's crazy how this whole year, my whole relationship was only negative. All I did was gain f---ing 40 pounds and lose so much money," he said on camera. "I'm so insecure. I weigh like 215 pounds. I hate pictures. I hate everything."

Kardashian has gained an additional 10 pounds since, and is now on a new exercise program. He has been keeping fans up-to-date with his weight loss through his Twitter and Instagram. "Let's go! Five-mile run next. Fifty pounds gots to go!" he writes.
