If you subscribe to the "where there's smoke there's fire" school of rumor assessment, then the there might be something to the continuing talk about an engagement between Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.
Us Weekly is going big with it this week, saying that the couple became engaged in late December, and Timberlake popped the question in the mountains of Jackson, Wyo. "Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place," according to the "insider" Us Weekly is quoting in the new issue.
It's worth noting that the engagement rumors surfaced in December as well after a Jackson Hole-area jewelery store speculated on its Facebook page it had happened. At the time, Gossip Cop poked probable holes in the story, quoting a source close to Timberlake, who told the web site, "I don’t believe this to be true at all -- the facts of where they are don’t even add up."
All of that said, we've yet to get a firm denial. So until then, speculation lives on.
