Renee Zellweger is embracing a new lifestyle — one that doesn’t include a farmhouse. After listing her historic Connecticut property this summer, the actress has put a Hamptons home on the market for $4.45 million.
Compared to the 1770-built colonial in Pomfret Center, this retreat is newer, dating back to the turn of the 20th century. But both are equally charming.
A few blocks from the ocean, a gated driveway leads to this classic Hamptons-style retreat with three-bedrooms, a den, two-car garage and loft. While newly renovated, the interior is understated with light coastal furnishings. The yard, spanning nearly an acre, is secluded with high hedges and mature trees.
Property records show Zellweger purchased the home in 2003, the year she played her Academy Award-winning role in “Cold Mountain.”
The listing is held by Linda Haugevik of Douglas Elliman.
