As the reality of their upcoming prison sentences truly sinks in, Teresa and Joe Giudice are looking at the bigger picture, and on Thursday night's conclusion of their "Watch What Happens Live" interview with Andy Cohen, the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" pair talk forgiveness — and Joe's issues with drinking.

"I don't think [Joe] meant to hurt me in any way," said Teresa in a special clip from Thursday's upcoming show. "I think it's a learning lesson for both of us."

What's less clear, however, is how the couple will tackle Joe's self-medication. During the trial, in which the former pizza parlor owner faced 41 charges of fraud and admitted to roping his wife into his bad business schemes, Joe's lawyer told the court he had a drinking problem.

"Before [Teresa] started this 'Real Housewives' stuff I think I only used to drink on weekends," he explained. "Now I drink every day. Just wine."

Joe went on to say he can finish up to four bottles of wine a night "with another person," because "it does help me sleep." He added, "It's like sucking a bottle of milk."

"I might have a little problem," he admitted. "I'm not going to lie."

Joe will serve three-and-a-half years in prison after Teresa returns from her 15-month stint; the pair's sentences are being served consecutively so their children won't be left with no one to look after them.

But while Joe admits he's the one who got them both into this mess, he also seems resigned to taking the brunt of the blame. "What am I going to do?" he asks. "I did everything I could to get her out of it but ... didn't work."

"Watch What Happens Live" airs on Bravo on Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. ET.
