Jim Mazy: "I met Dick several times after my stint with the Marine Corps and I will never forget the time I was at the St. Moritz Hotel (now the Ritz-Carlton) in the late 60’s/early 70’s for an electronics show at the convention center. I had just finished introducing my roommate John to a friend, Chris Short from the Phillies baseball team, when he said to me “Who don’t you know? With that he pushed the elevator button, the door opened and there stood Dick Clark. Dick smiled, extended his hand and said “Well I’ll be damned, Jim, how the heck are you?” John just stood there; mouth wide open enough for an F-4 to land on his tongue and I broke up laughing. The timing could not have been better. Dick Clark, you will be missed, you were a class act, a gentleman and I’m proud to say that I knew you back then."

Laurie Shore: " I remember a very special time I shared with my family one Thanksgiving in a beachfront condo in Destin, FL. My Dad and I spent the week working on a puzzle of Kinkade's "Hometown Memories". I lost my Dad to his battle with lung cancer but will always have this wonderful memory. I have this piece as well as Paris, St. Michel. We touch more people in our lives than we will ever know and so did Thomas Kinkade. If only we would listen more to those who encourage us rather than those who want to bring us down. He is now the painter of heavenly light."
