Straight from the department of bad ideas comes this: Randy Quaid is in talks to open for Charlie Sheen when his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour heads to Vancouver, B.C., later this month.

According to The Globe and Mail, Quaid's record label is trying to make it happen.

Quaid and his wife Evi have been living in Vancouver to escape legal problems in the United States and the supposed "star whackers" who are after them. "I think it'd be a hoot ... it's apropos to his situation, and apropos of my situation," Quaid said.

Nothing's been decided yet, but Quaid said that one of the ideas is to have Sheen sing back-up on his song "Star Whackers."
