Still reeling from “Dexter’s” season-six finale? You’re not alone. The final scene, in which Dexter’s much-loved (maybe too much loved) sister walked in on his latest crime scene in progress, left viewers stunned and eager to learn what could possibly come next. It’s time to find out.

Showtime unveiled a sneak peek at Comic-Con on Thursday night, and now it's available for all to see. The preview features the first two minutes of the upcoming season, so it's sure to make the wait for the show’s fall return a bit more bearable.

Spoiler alert: If you don't want to know what the clip reveals, don't read on!

The action picks up right where it left off, with Deb in a state of shock as she looks on at her brother’s bloody handiwork. Only now, she has her gun drawn as she awaits an excuse that couldn’t possibly make it all OK. Or could it? Dexter is known for his fast thinking, and it takes more than an emotional standoff to knock him off his feet. He's chock full of excuses -- even when quizzed about his signature plastic wrap.

Find out how it all plays out when “Dexter” returns to Showtime Sept. 30 at 9 p.m.

“Dexter” fans, what do you think will happen? Will Deb believe her brother's story? Can Dexter keep her quiet? Tell us all about it on our Facebook page.
