Despite rampant rumors that Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger are working toward a reconciliation, sources close to the couple insist that the two remain friendly, but are not re-thinking divorce plans.

The latest round of speculation was triggered when Shriver was spotted out and about wearing a ring on her ring finger, shortly after Schwarzenegger appeared in public wearing what looked like a wedding ring. People magazine cleared that up, pointing out that the ring Shriver was wearing actually belonged to her late mother, Eunice Shriver, and Maria has worn it often since her mother's death in 2009.

"Maria and Arnold are going to be seen together -- it doesn't mean the divorce is off," a source familiar with the couple's situation tells Scoop. "They're close to their kids and they're going to do things together for their (the kids') sake."

Shriver and Schwarzenegger announced their separation in May after 25 years of marriage. The two spent Christmas together with their family and "had a really nice time," People reported. "Children and family come first ... Arnold and Maria will always come together when it comes to supporting and loving their children."
