No more Maks? Kirstie's partner may leave 'Dancing'
When “Dancing With the Stars” returns for another round of the ballroom bash in the fall, it may do so without its resident bad boy, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
In a post-finals interview with AOL TV, Kirstie Alley’s outspoken and sometimes-shirtless pro partner admitted that he’s considering a “Dancing”-free future.
“I don't know,” Chmerkovskiy said when asked if he would return for season 14. “It takes a lot out of you. When you invest that much of you into something that's supposed to be just work, you (can) get misinterpreted. I don't know (if I'm coming back). We'll see. Right now, I'm drained.”
If the dance champ decides to leave the ballroom behind, he has plenty of other entertainment options on the horizon. He’s currently a romantic reality TV star in the Ukrainian version of the “The Bachelor.” And if Chmerkovskiy wants to channel his TV time into something a little more dramatic, well, he has a friend in the business.
“He's got good qualities," Alley said of the man who helped her reach the “Dancing” finals. “He's handsome, he's got a good voice and he's funny. He's got other qualities. He's broody. He's deep. All the bad boy actors are like that. He could be a really great actor if he wanted to act."
