Sometimes the best intentions lead to advice that's best ignored. That's something late actor Michael Clarke Duncan knew well.
"Anderson Live" guest co-host Niecy Nash shared a personal story of the worst advice she ever offered the actor.
"Here's where I went wrong in the friendship, let me own this," she began. "Every time I saw him, we always laughed about the one time we were hanging out when he received the script for 'The Green Mile.' Here's my advice to him, 'Don't do that darn thing! That don't even sound like it's going to be that good. What is a green mile?'"
Needless to say, he ignored her and took on what became his most memorable role.
"And now when everyone says his name, (it's) 'Academy Award nominee for 'The Green Mile,'" she explained. "He was like, 'I'm so glad I didn't listen to you.' I said, 'Me too.'
No doubt fans of the star and of the 1999 drama feel the same way.
Nash appears on Tuesday's "Anderson live," along with "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Jacqueline Laurita. Check local listings for time and channel.
